Guitarra Chacarera
The origin of this musical genre comes from the Peruvian Marinera. When the foundation of the city Santiago del Estero (the oldest city in Argentina) began, some slaves (African and indigenous) were brought from Peru along the royal road of Lima, who elaborated percussion instruments that in a short time derived from the popular bombo legüero (important instrument in this musical genre).
For this reason and according to tradition, it is believed that the Chacarera was born in Argentina.
