Guitarra Morenada
The musical genre closely linked to the dance of the same name. It is an intense and overflowing rhythm of joy, commonly executed at around 100 BPM.
It dates back to colonial times, drawing inspiration from the history of African slaves brought by the Spanish conquerors to work in the silver mines in the Viceroyalty of Peru. This rhythm belongs to the Aymaras (therefore Bolivia and Peru share this mestizo rhythm).
