On August 6, 2021, the Regional Government of Arequipa (GRA) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) granted resolutions and certificates to 38 Arequipa companies representative of the region. The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism participated in the event, who promised to promote the Arequipa Brand and the Peru Brand in Europe and North America.

Likewise, resolutions were delivered to 6 prominent characters from Arequipa who are incorporated as representatives of the brand. Being Mike Valderrama the first singer and music producer to receive this important recognition.

The ceremony was held in the Main Cloister of the Santa Catalina Monastery, along with a press conference that included the most important media in the city and the south of the country.
