Five years of academic training at the National School of Art “Carlos Baca Flor” in Arequipa, Peru, provide a strong foundation in fine arts, merging classical techniques with digital tools to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern visual expression.
Participation in multiple art exhibitions at prestigious galleries in the city. Extensive expertise in various artistic techniques, including pencil drawing, watercolor, oil painting, gouache, pastel chalks, ink, mural painting, modeling, sculpture, and wood carving, applied in both personal and commercial projects.

Who is Mike Valderrama?
Specialist in audiovisual production with over 15 years of experience in commercial spots, music videos, 2D/3D animation, and post-production. Has worked with brands and artists at local, national, and international levels, leading projects that have strengthened their visual identity.
Recognized by the Regional Government of Arequipa in 2020 for artistic and musical contributions to the region, being the only music producer to receive this honor. Awarded in 2021 as an ambassador and “AREQUIPA BRAND REPRESENTATIVE” by the Regional Government.
In recent years, has developed and post-produced videos for brands, companies, and campaigns at local, national, and international levels, creating content for both digital platforms and television.
The audiovisual content created has enhanced the presence of various clients, achieving a high impact on social media and traditional media. Additionally, interface designs have been implemented in projects for clients worldwide, ensuring functional and visually appealing user experiences.
AREQUIPA BRAND REPRESENTATIVE
On August 6, 2021, the Regional Government of Arequipa (GRA) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) awarded resolutions and certificates to 38 representative companies from the region. The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism participated in the event and committed to promoting the Arequipa Brand and the Peru Brand in Europe and North America.
Additionally, resolutions were granted to six distinguished figures from Arequipa who were incorporated as brand representatives, with Mike Valderrama becoming the first artist and audiovisual creator to receive this important recognition.
The ceremony was held in the Main Cloister of the Santa Catalina Monastery, along with a press conference attended by the city’s and southern region’s top media outlets.
The brand symbolizes and encapsulates the essence of the region: its personality, values, and main characteristics. Its goal is to strengthen recognition abroad, increasing Arequipa’s prominence and visibility.
Being a representative or “ambassador” of the Arequipa Brand is not just an honorary title but a true milestone in any professional’s career. It is the official recognition of the talent, dedication, and cultural impact that a person has achieved both within and beyond the region. This appointment highlights those who, through their art and creativity, project Arequipa’s identity to the world, preserving its legacy and opening new opportunities for artistic and cultural development.
